Who we are. MassChattr (“we”) is an independently operated community site. Contact for anything in this policy: [email protected].

What we collect.

Account info: your username, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash — we cannot read it). Content you post: posts, comments, votes, uploaded images, and your profile details, stored so the site can function. Technical logs: our server temporarily records IP addresses and request logs, as virtually all websites do, for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

Cookies. We set one strictly-necessary cookie to keep you logged in. We use no analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies, and we don’t share data with advertising, analytics, or social-media partners.

Email. Your address is used to verify your account and for essential account messages. Verification emails are delivered via our email service provider, which processes your address solely to deliver that mail. We don’t sell or share your email for marketing.

Deletion. Deleting your content hides it from all users; residual copies may persist in our database and backups for a limited time. You may request permanent removal of your content or account by emailing [email protected], and we will purge it from the live database.

Your rights. You may request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time via [email protected]. If you’re in the EU/UK, these rights are guaranteed under GDPR; we honor them for everyone regardless of location.

Age. MassChattr is not directed at children under 13 (16 in some EU regions), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes. We’ll update this page if our practices change — including before we ever introduce analytics or advertising, which would be accompanied by a consent mechanism.
